If your student received free or reduced meals last school year and you have not yet submitted a household application for the 2025–2026 school year, please do so by September 23 to continue receiving meal benefits.

Important: If a new application is not submitted by September 23, your student(s) will be charged for meals starting September 24 and will be responsible for any incurred charges until the application is processed.

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost, the courage of first responders, and the resilience of a nation forever changed by the events of September 11, 2001.

In schools across our District, we take time to honor the significance of this day, ensuring our students understand the importance of unity, service, and compassion in the face of tragedy. As we reflect, we are reminded of the strength found in community and the enduring impact of coming together in support of one another.

It was a "Fun Friday!" First graders became storybook Olympians! 🏅📚 They balanced like the Maid with her milk pail 🥛, lunged for grapes like the Fox 🍇, raced with golden eggs 🥚, and tiptoed like Peter Rabbit 🐇—all while learning big lessons about patience, humility, and cleverness. Fun + learning = first-grade gold! 💛✨ #LiteraryOlympics

The Scholastic Book Fair is coming from September 15th to September 19th! The materials available for purchase at the Book Fair were not selected by the School District of Indian River County. We encourage parents and legal guardians to review their student’s wish list and have a conversation about what they wish their student to purchase at the book fair before sending money to make any purchases. Some books in the Preview might be excluded based on availability; likewise, you may see books that aren’t featured in the Preview sent as substitutes for other titles.
